Become an Organ Donor and Save Up to 8 Lives

Even though death sucks to think about, we need to chat about one component of it - your organs. Your goods, your goodies, that gold locked up inside your body. They can potentially save someone's life, actually one donor can save up to eight lives. Otherwise they're just thrown out. What a waste!

Sign up to become an organ donor so someone else can take advantage of your goods. Fortunately it's super easy to do!

How to sign up:

Go to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services website -organdonor.gov and choose your state from the dropdown menu, then follow the easy steps. All you need is some identification information and your driver’s license or photo ID number. Or, you can sign up at your state's DMV. But if 90's pop culture taught us anything, it's to avoid that place like the plague. amiright?!

And if you don't wanna wait until you die, you can also sign up to be a living organ donor.

Most organ and tissue donations occur after the donor has died. But some organs and tissues can be donated while the donor is alive. Nearly 6,000 living donations take place each year. Which is about 4 out of every 10 donations.

Most living donations happen among family members or between close friends. However some people become altruistic living donors by choosing to donate to someone they don’t know. How awesome is that? If you're interested in learning about that, visit here.

So just do it! Give someone the gift of your awesomeness.
