Stray Cat Kept Showing Up at Police Department, So They Built Her a Condo
For the last four years, the Boston Police Department's SWAT team has had a pretty adorable (yet unofficial mascot) - a stray calico cat who strolled up to their headquarters one day and never left. The kitty was named SWAT cat.

In a post online, a department spokesperson wrote, “[we] have tried numerous tactics over the years to convince her to come in from the elements but she is set in her ways.”
So to accommodate her outdoor lifestyle, they began building her little houses.
And now with the most recent build - a condo - she's really moving on up.
“Officer Jamie Pietroski, a 15-year veteran of the Boston Police Department, stayed late after work for several nights painstakingly preparing Swat Cat’s new home,” writes the department. “The condo features a spacious studio interior layout, a large deck for outdoor dining and glass sliding doors offering panoramic city views.”
They added: “Swat Cat moved right in and looks very happy with her new custom kitty accommodations.”
