If you ever find yourself in the middle of a WWE event or watching on TV, these chants reverberate throughout the arena any time John Cena enters the stage. For those of you who do not know the man, John Cena has been a staple of the World Wrestling Entertainment brand for almost fifteen years now. Going through the trials of the lower divisions, Cena quickly made himself into a name brand with the help of fellow superstar Kurt Angle. After building up his name, Cena became incredibly popular because of his tireless work ethic, quick wit on the microphone, and unique move sets in the arena. However, Cena grew tiresome among fans, mostly adults. He has been able to keep his popularity with the younger crowd, but others moved on from his style. To this date, John Cena remains one of the most divisive superstars on the WWE ticket.
No matter if you love the man or cannot stand him, John Cena is a blessing to countless children who battle disease every day. He currently holds the record for the amount of "Make-a-Wish" requests granted. As of 2015, Cena has given up his time to 500 needy children who dream of meeting the icon. His mantra of "Never give up" reverberates with children who struggle to get through the day.
"I just drop everything," Cena said. "If I can offer a fantastic experience, I'll be first in line to do my part."
Cena visits these children and will often bring them ringside to a WWE event. He is one of the special athletes that looks past his fame to help children in need. Cena understands the importance of bringing joy to those who face a battle most of us will never understand.
